Who We Are

Women in Theater

CTWN is a 501 (c)(3) organization founded in 2025 that supports, develops, and advocates for women in professional theater statewide.

Promotes equity for and support of work by women in theater

Provides networking resources, mentorship and education and professional development opportunities for women in theater

Presents, produces and sponsors events and festivals focused on women in theater

Get to know the Network through our:

Monthly lunches and other gatherings where you can meet Theater Women from all over Connecticut. We plan our gatherings in locations around the state to ensure one will be nearby you.

Monthly e-newsletter sent the second Wednesday of each month with news about our members and information about other event and opportunities related to women working in theater.

Membership

CTWN Membership provides exclusive benefits such as:

Free entry to most Network events.

Free and discounted tickets to shows around Connecticut.

Publicity and focused efforts to fill seats for shows/events in which our members are involved.

Eligibility to submit to the Biennial Women Playwrights Festival.

Membership is by invitation. Those invited to apply are required to complete an application process. Inquire using the Contact Us form below.

Events

Networking Lunch

TUESDAY, MARCH 3

Networking Lunch at Brazi's Italian Restaurant n New Haven. Help us kick off Women's History Month with a networking lunch beginning at noon. You do not need to be a member of CTWN to attend, but RSVPs are required by clicking here. Please invite any women working in theater who might be interested in joining our organization.

NOTE: Attendees will order their own food and beverage off of the

restaurant menu and will pay with either cash (including tax and tip) or by Venmo (tip not included) to Mary Miko. We do this to make things easier for the restaurant which cannot issue individual checks with credit card chatges for a group as large as ours. Deadline to RSVP is Feb. 23.
